2023–2024 Boot Camp
Since 2015, the Faculty Development Program has presented an annual Boot Camp that has brought together faculty from throughout the Division. The major goals of the Boot Camp are to optimize teaching and other academic skills and to facilitate the interaction of colleagues from throughout the division. In addition, the Boot Camp has highlighted important, timely topics such as implicit bias, mentorship, and finding meaning in medicine.

This Division-wide event is meant to renew our skills as bedside teachers – in the clinic or in the hospital. All inpatient and outpatient faculty are invited to participate!
This will be an in-person event at UWMC Montlake, South Campus Center, Room SOCC 301.
Topics include teaching during patient care, maximizing efficiency, teaching bedside physical examination, maximizing learner autonomy and minimizing micro-managing, and involving all levels of learners.
