Stipend and Benefits
Residents receive a stipend, competitive with other national residency programs per the UW Medicine stipend schedule. Please note: Unless special funds are identified, stipend support is limited to US citizens and permanent residents.
In addition to the stipend, the following is provided by the Residency Program:
- Tuition and fees for the MPH degree
- Professional liability coverage
- Medical license fee reimbursement
- Robust benefits package
- Travel to one professional meeting per year

Note that residents in the Occupational & Environmental Medicine Residency Program are supported by the Northwest Center for Occupational Health & Safety (NWCOHS). Residents under this type of funding are appointed in the ACGME Stipend title, which determines eligibility for certain benefits.
