Mission Statement
Our mission is to establish and support a new cadre of addiction medicine doctors who provide compassionate, patient-centered, and effective treatment for individuals with substance use disorders.
Our vision is to reduce mortality and morbidity from substance use disorders throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond while also eliminating the stigmatization of individuals with addiction. Our program focus is to educate physicians broadly on the skills, knowledge, and attitudes essential to the integration of addiction treatment into primary care practice and addiction treatment continuity during transitions of care from the inpatient to outpatient setting.
We are no longer accepting applications for 2024–25. Applications for the 2025-26 year will open July 2024.
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
Our fellowship aims to train physicians from all backgrounds and experiences, fostering the collaboration of diverse ideas and perspectives. Through inclusive professional development, policy, and practice, we encourage trainees to address and work toward reducing bias in the healthcare system while committing to equitable care for a diverse patient population.
