Overview

The Medicine Operative Consult Clinic (MOCC) team is a perioperative medicine clinic at Harborview Medical Center. The clinic is comprised of perioperative internal medicine specialists who provide comprehensive care for complex medical patients undergoing surgery.

To submit a referral, please enter a referral through Epic (Medicine Consult) or send an email to medopconsult@uw.edu.

CLINIC RESIDENTS AND FELLOWS

Plan to meet your attending in the clinic as follows:

Monday 9am 7th floor, Maleng South Provider Room or 4th floor, Maleng Vascular Clinic
Tuesday 9am 7th floor, Maleng South Provider Room
Wednesday 1pm 7th floor, Maleng North Provider Room
Thursday 9am

7th floor, Maleng South Provider Room or 5th floor, Ninth & Jefferson Building, Spine Clinic

Friday 9am 7th floor, Maleng South Provider Room

 

You will be contacted before your rotation for more details about where to meet on your first day.

You are expected to perform 1–2 comprehensive new patient evaluations each clinic. Each appointment is 75 minutes long, and you will have approximately 30 minutes to perform an evaluation.

SERVICE RESIDENTS (ANESTHESIA)

Please meet the attending at the Hospital Medicine offices on 2CT (rooms 77 or 78) at 9am on our first day. You will be emailed specific information prior to your rotation.

You will be expected to see and write notes on the inpatient post-operative patients, as well as performing at least 1 comprehensive new patient evaluation during clinic (see above for locations).
