biography

Jocelyn James, MD, is a primary care and addiction medicine physician at the Adult Medicine Clinic at Harborview and is a UW Assistant Professor of Medicine. She sees patients in the Adult Medicine Clinic and at the Adult Medicine Clinic satellite clinic at Evergreen Treatment Services (AMC-ETS). She also attends on Harborview’s Addiction Consult Service. Her teaching and research work focus on improving care for people with substance use disorders, e.g., by expanding access to hepatitis C treatment and medications for substance use disorders. Dr. James is Associate Medical Director of AMC-ETS. She is also involved in interprofessional service learning as co-Medical Director for the Harborview Mobile Health Outreach (MHO) Clinic. She is a mother of 3 and enjoys family, biking, running, gardening, and basically anything that involves movement outdoors.
