Biography
Dr. Abbott is a Hospitalist at Harborview Medical Center and an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Global Health at the University of Washington.
Dr. Abbott earned her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her medical degree from New York University. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Washington, followed by a UW Chief Residency in Global Health, in Naivasha, Kenya. She is committed to medical education, simulation training, and global health. She works clinically in hospital medicine at Harborview Medical Center, where she is the UW IM Residency Program APD for Inpatient Medicine. She oversees simulation and just-in-time training for residents. She is also faculty in the Department of Global Health (DGH). She serves as the Director for Medical Student Programs, in which she oversees bilateral international education partnerships, and teaches global health courses to trainees interested in a career in global health.
