Overview
Medic One is Seattle and King County’s pre-hospital emergency care system responding to nearly 50,000 calls for life-threatening incidents each year.
The Medic One Foundation funds paramedic training for all Medic One providers in King County and many communities throughout the region.
Other Foundation-funded programs, such as patient care quality improvement and research, benefit pre-hospital emergency care around the world through shared protocols and published research findings. Medic One’s reputation for innovation and excellence in pre-hospital emergency care has grown worldwide.

As Medical Program Director, Dr. Rea has direct responsibility for the medical performance of the paramedics and is the liaison between the paramedics and the local community, helping to ensure appropriate and expeditious care.
