Biography
Dr. Stroup is a Hospitalist at Harborview Medical Center and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington.
Dr. Stroup earned his undergraduate degree from Pomona College and his medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center where he graduated with distinction on the Medical Education track. He followed residency as an Assistant Professor at Oregon Health Sciences University where he served on the Clinical Hospitalist services and in the Preoperative Medicine Clinic. He currently works at the University of Washington / Harborview Medical Center as a Clinical Hospitalist and in the Medicine Operative Consultation Clinic. Dr. Stroup has interests in the preoperative optimization of medically complex patients, in the remediation of struggling learners and in clinical reasoning education.
