biography
Dr. Krug is an internal medicine doctor at the Boise VA Medical Center. He is primarily a hospital doctor (hospitalist), but he also works in primary care clinic and in perioperative medicine clinic. Dr. Krug’s professional foci are providing high quality, patient-centered care, and teaching others to do the same.
Dr. Krug is involved in educational efforts at the UW and the Boise VA. He is one of two associate program directors at the UW Boise Internal Medicine Residency program. Dr. Krug is also involved in several quality improvement efforts including reducing readmissions and resource management.
Dr. Krug earned his bachelor's degree from Columbia University and his MD from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He completed his residency and chief residency at the UW and was on faculty at the UW from 2011–2016 before moving to Boise.
Dr. Krug was co-chair of the 2016 Washington ACP annual meeting and is the past-president of the Northwest chapter of the Society for General Internal Medicine (SGIM). Dr. Krug is board certified in internal medicine.
