Since 2015, the Faculty Development Program has presented an annual Boot Camp that has brought together faculty from throughout the Division. The major goals of the Boot Camp are to optimize teaching and other academic skills and to facilitate the interaction of colleagues from throughout the division. In addition, the Boot Camp has highlighted important, timely topics such as implicit bias, mentorship, and finding meaning in medicine.
For 2019–2020, we will present a high-yield afternoon showcasing “Internists Making an Impact” in different realms of academic medicine—both in terms of impacting our clinical and educational enterprise as well as society as a whole. Presenters will discuss their innovative work and provide tips and suggestions for success.
