The University of Washington offers fellowship training for individuals with an interest in pursuing research and academic careers in the primary medical care disciplines of general internal medicine, family medicine, and general pediatrics. The training program is a joint project of the Departments of Medicine, Family Medicine, and Pediatrics, and the School of Public Health.
The two-year fellowship is designed to provide methodologic skill acquisition in addition to research experience with an established investigator. Most fellows will be enrolled concurrently in the Master of Public Health program, majoring in either Health Services or Epidemiology.
Historically, this fellowship has been funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
