General Internal Medicine, established in 1985, has rapidly grown to be the largest Division in the UW Department of Medicine with nearly 300 faculty members located at multiple sites around Seattle, including the major medical centers. The Division has been an integral part of the research mission of the University, which ranks third in the nation for total research funding. The breadth and diversity of our Division is apparent and our faculty is united by its dedication to our basic missions of patient care, teaching and research.
